Could you possibly add a feature to delete session folders with less than 20 tiles?

That would be a nice feature for the combiner; a flag to cleanup all the little piddly trash sessions that occur when you enter/exit a house, etc.

I'll consider something like that, for now you can use --merge to combine all the small sessions (from the same place) into one.

Would you consider a delete option? i.e. deleting all the session folders that were --merge(d).

Well after a merge, everything is in the output. Right now the input is untouched so the user can verify that everything is good and delete the whole folder manually.

I'm a bit wary of destructive options overall, though i will consider a adding something like that after the thing is more stable and less of a buggy mess :P.

In other news - the next version will have streaming PNG output, so you can generate huge maps without using crazy amounts of RAM. For example right now to generate a 47000x42000 pixel map it needs about 10GB of RAM. With the new version it can be done using less than 500MB.

I really just use the combiner for tile management, not so much the large combined maps. Could there be a merge option to to just move/reindex tiles without bothering to generate the combined png map?

As to the memory issue, yeah I always get an out of memory error when it tries to create the map after merging the tiles, but at least it moves the tiles, which is what I want :)

I think you mean this:

--noimg - Will not generate stitched images, can only be used with --merge

You might also be interested in manual combine mode

--combine <indir1> <x1> <y1> <indir2> <x2> <y2> <outdir>
  • Manually combines two map folders and merges tiles and fingerprints
  • indir1 x1 y1 - specifies first input folder and coordinate of a reference tile
  • indir2 x2 y2 - specifies second input folder and coordinate of a reference tile
  • outdir - name of new folder that will be created by combining the two input folders

For now you can edit the bat file to add -Xmx1G (you can also do more with 2G, 10G, etc.) to fix those if/when you do want combined maps generated.

  • Added hotkey - CTRL + SHIFT + Right Click with item on world object - mass add items
    • Useful for filling troughs, tar kilns, etc.
    • Note: You need to keep holding the modifier keys while all items are added.

Could we see a hotkey for displaying resource name on hover? For identifying things, like Amber client.

Other requests: option to hide crops.
i guess they never miss huh
