Another small update - v1.12.3

Somewhat busy IRL, so not much here. Stay tuned for more stuff in the future :P

  • Added top-down view camera (:cam top)
  • Added average height level to landscaping tooltips
  • Added height display to survey UI
  • Added percent tooltips to vertical meters (cauldron, etc.)
  • Merged fixes from official client

Top-down view camera
  • Provides a top-down orthographic view, useful for planning, landscaping, etc.
  • Use :cam top command to activate
  • Arrow keys and dragging while holding the middle mouse button can pan the view
  • Mouse scroll or PgUp / PgDn to zoom
  • Home to center the view on the player

Would like to make a small feature request regarding the render order of icons on the minimap. It would be nice to always have "hostile" stuff on the top layer,ie players and aggressive animals, while less dangerous stuff like mushrooms always on the bottom layer. Too many bats and bears are "hiding" under berries and such, heh.

Keep up the awesome work! This is the only client I use now :)

Bug report

Sometimes all interface windows becomes unaccesible. Whe you click on button or icon or anything else click did transfered through it to game layer(character starts walking to pointed area). But all hotkeys works. Tooltips when you mouseover buttons or icons works too.

I'm planning a rewrite of the minimap icons system soon(tm), which will allow stuff like sorting.

Does this happen with the recent versions? There was a vanilla bug that had symptoms like this, but it was fixed a few versions ago by jorbtar.

Neat stuff. I wanted to have top camera pretty much

Bug:
Steps to reproduce:
1. switch to :cam top
2. try to zoom in
Result
When zoom allows you to see about 80*80 cells or less - part of cells become black.
1-2 more zoom steps and all screen turns black.
It is still too far from character (character size is approx as the mouse pointer).

Feature request:
Is it possible to have camera follow together with cam top?

That's odd, i'll try looking into this.

That's also odd, doesn't happen for me.

The original version that i wrote was following the player though it was a pain to use so i changed it to static. I could probably add it as an option or a separate camera.
