Why does the UI start hidden by default? Is there a setting I'm missing?
Also reposting this: Would it be possible to see the borders between map grids while in grid view?

Go to Control Settings. Uncheck "Disable UI hiding...", press space bar.
Regarding map grips - it's on the todo list but a bit low-ish priority atm, got to finish few other things which are long overdue...

No matter what, life/energy bars are hiden everytime I log on, have to tape space.

Try "Reset Windows" button in Display Settings and restart the client.

Please add "account status" back to statuswdg.
This reminds players if their subscription is running out so they know to renew it.
Also it might encourage free players to subscribe.

Looks like you're offline (or your machine can't resolve the address for some reason).

Try to ping www.havenandhearth.com on the command line.

You could restore from there.

Run with run-debug.bat and post the console output. If there is no output, look for a file hs_pid* in the client dir and post its content.
