(builtin-res.jar is more important than hafen-res.jar, since it contains resources that the client uses internally and therefore have no concept of versioning for, but hafen-res.jar is completely superfluous outside of speeding up loading of common resources.)

Actually, how superfluous is it really?
Because WaterTile tries to load couple things from local pool so the client crashes without hafen-res.jar

Unzip the archive and place it in the client folder. You should end up with something like this YOU_CLIENT_FOLDER/res/gfx/terobjs/pow.res

Did that but hf's still moving.

If just the color blinks then that's ok, I only disabled mesh animation.
