Went lookin' through a fair few pages but I haven't seen anything. How do you zoom in/out with the minimap? My plotmate says his is way further out than mine.

The client has been freezing and crashing a lot for me today, including a 5-minute stretch in which it crashed five times. I usually never have problems with crashing or freezing. Logs can be found at http://www.stack.nl/~vdz/misc/haven-logs.zip.

Same, I used to have trouble with black screens until switch char and it desapeared some time ago.
I now have this problem again, 20% chance to black screen opening anything.

It seems to be a case of this at least judging by VDZ logs. Try installing 64-bit Java if you're using 32-bit.
It's very odd though that the issue comes and goes periodically... Can you post your hs_err_pid* file?

Dont got new hs_err_pid cause I dont crash, just black screen exept the UI, so I can craft and so on in the dark, so I just switch char when this append ( windows XP3 32 bits latest java, but will instal java 64 to and report ).
PS : cant install 64 java in my 32 bit system.
The strange thing is it just reapeared yesturday ( or the previous day dont remember).
Last time I got it it was the same black stuff wether using your client or vanilla, tracking prfedator lead to Loftar !

Oh it be might something else then. Run with run-debug and check if there are any errors in the console window.

Nothing in console, ho well. (got 4 fps in the picture only when I select console window, otherwise I get 70 fps)

any progress romovs? both of my buddies cant play. i think the only reason i can is because i never fully exited the client when the update hit. just waited at the title screen.

Don't think that's the thing. The difference between u and them might be the java version. Cuz I can play even after the comp reboot
