1.4 doesn't work fine for me unfortunately, I merged some minimaps together yesterday and when I open the application now it's completely empty, the project folder is completely empty too.

Did I do something wrong?

Edit: I selected all the sessions after putting them in place, clicked the merge button, now no sessions were in the list but the map I got was fully complete from the sessions. I might have started up the application again accidentally while the old one was still running (and had been for hours because I went to sleep)

You do all properly.

After you added your session folder you got list of sessions in tool.
Session_1
Session_2
Session_n

The merging will copy all selected sessions into the project/base folder. Thereafter the session folders (Session_1,Session_2 and so on) will be deleted.
You can use function "Go to" (Button under the zoom slider) - viewport will be moved to the specified point.

Nice work on performance on this last version.
Hav problems to undertand how to merge at begining , now i get it and love it.
Will be good a export to big .jpg or something the full map if possible.

Thanx a lot :)

The more pieces the more time it will take to stitching. Also, the resulting file may be veeery big.
I think to add feature, which allow to archive your base map in one file, in order to send it to other users.

Thing i lack in your loot is some way to decide which sesion should be in front and which behind others. And if i click on session map i'd want to drag the one i click on (most front one) not the one somewhere in background. And maybe some kind of shortcuts? This are all only sugestions so you'll decide if you'll make use of them or no.

Re: Mapper 1.5 - UI tool for working with map fragments

Postby Grafbredbery » Tue Sep 15, 2015 11:55 pm

Mapper updated to version 1.5

Selected layers now highlighted in the viewport
Selecting layer in the viewport will select it in the list
Added multi selection in the viewport
Now you can move all selected layers at once
Added context menu to the list and viewport
Added removing layer with the source session folder - be careful!

Fixed bug with selecting layer in front on viewport
Fixed problem with resizing window

This problem has been fixed in version 1.5.
Also, added some hotkeys:
  • Ctrl-R - refresh layer from session folder
  • Delete - delete layer

Could you please consider putting some additional info into the first post of this thread? I mean that Mapper requires JRE 8 and it would be nice to not have a hard time figuring out that causes some errors.
Finally .bat gave me this output and I was able to resolve my bug by installing JRE 8 (i was using 7 before):

...but I'd rather be informed beforehand.

Yes, it's correct. The application uses Java version 8.
First post updated.
