First of all, post it in the right damn thread, don't make your own one.

second of all, try another client

well...it actually depends on what you're doing

maybe try ape

I've never just used one client for everything

like in previous worlds i had one client for various scripts(farming and mining), another for exploring, and one dedicated to combat that i used on raids

Reinstalling the client does not remove the old settings. Nor does removing the file in the system user folder. Nor does doing both simultaneously.

Where are the settings located?

Run this from a console
Code: Select all
reg delete "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\JavaSoft\Prefs\haven" /f

It will remove everything including saved logins.

Ahh, yea my next step was going to be reinstalling Java. I'm glad you saved me the hassle. Many thanks.

That was a pretty counter-intuitive process but it seems to have resolved a great many issues which had been building up over a long period of time, such as having no visible HP/Hunger/Stamina bars among other things.

The Map Settings are still missing however. Some of the headings show up but none of the configuration lists.

It becomes visible only after logging into a character since map highlight settings are saved per character.
(Unless it's a fresh character that you just spawned, then you'll need to relogin for it to appear).

I can't explain bug i catched better than:
I can only make one moveclick per client run. After relogin/char switching/client restart i get ability to make one move again. Vanilla works fine.

Win 10 LTSB Enterpraise, fresh java installation(was installed right before client lauched).
Tech specs needed?

Added: I can move with map clicks!

Added2: Disabled animations still works(after few restarts of course).

Added3: Did you tried to turn PC(client, lights, microwave...) off and on again? Yes. Still not working? Yes. Vanilla works? Yes, fine :)

Solved: Reason to this was 32bit Java(IDK why Java installer setuped 32bit version on x64 system :? ) After reinstalling java all works fine. Thx for your patient and time :)

I am also experiencing all these problems with Amber 1.38. I am trying to fix it. I also have Windows x64. Oracle website keeps telling me my device has the right version of java installed but I can't verify this myself. Going to the Java Downloads page gives a huge list of Java products with descriptions written in geekspeak that I don't understand :(. Can I ask what Java version you are using for x64? Is it Java version 8 update 101?

Yes. But you should download standalone installer for windows x64 by yourself. Automated Java installer will setup you x32 version, and idk why... Maybe just becouse it's Java... ;)

You need Windows Offline (64-bit) version
