why did you remove those things? Also why did you remove the volume slider for alarms and most of the alarm customization options you had? Makes no sense to me to remove features that people use?

I think that in software development it is in fashion currently to remove features instead of adding them, making as simplistic applications/sites as possible. Less buttons and options the better!

I don’t think this is your decision nor you are the one who has to deal with maintaining this... make your own client and maybe you would understand?

How do I set it executable??
I have edited the permissions, but it still says I can't do it.

Why does this have to be so damn difficult?

Why in the world isn't the standard client set to something better like Amber?

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to say or do here. Are you loading the client by the run.bat file ? Or are you trying to load it by the jar (Which you shouldn't do).

I'm on a Mac. Trying to open run.command

I have permissions set to read and write, still cannot execute. I cannot figure out how to set it to executable. All the tutorials online to set a file to executable are beyond me.

Open up Terminal - go to the client directory and type

./run.command

if you can't excute cuz of missing rights

chmod u+x run.command
