Released Version 2.0

Added caching of Map Images. This greatly improves displaying and loading.
If you happen to get any Map Display Errors, you can clear the Cache via Tools -> Clear Image Cache

Loading Tiles is much faster now, because the Merging data is only created on demand.
Decreased memory usage alot by not caching the image data.
Added and Enabled Update Checker. You can disable via the Settings.
Disabled Image Export as i need to rework it to work with the new logics.

If you run into any problems, please let me know! :)

Beautimous!

Smooth, responsive, no progressive loading slowness, only ~500MB memory used. Awesome so far :)

Is there a hotkey to Jump to the origin tile? Would be neat to have.

*edit* Elegant file caching too. I share the same Main folder between this and TP Map Tool and am so thankful you used the img directory instead of the source folder :)

Whenever I try to merge my sub files from Bdew's client it gets to about 90% and crashes... it is a TON of sub directories so I tried splitting them up and still have no luck with the loading... Anyways great job on the live session map tool it's very easy to just be like "Iron here" while prospecting. Perfect for this game good job! :D

Are you using a PC? If so try this:

Open a command prompt and change directories to where bdew's client is. Type the following: combiner --merge --noimg newmap map

That should combine all your sessions into a single directory called newmap (it won't delete your sessions when combining). You can then try to manually merge newmap as a layer, or delete all your sessions and move newmap into the map directory and try to auto-merge with only newmap as a "session". Make sure the combiner worked first, though. Backups are also always a good idea.

2300 sessions(~800 was caves), 4600 uniq tiles was merged in 10+ hours, but now without errors :)
So best solution for BDew client is using native combiner as Drevar say and then loading one session in MapMerger. This way it takes 1-2mins with same result.

Upd. After many tests i think your new matching algorithm is bugged. For example i add new session with 226 tiles to map with ~4800 tiles - it took half hour. And after finish it didn't find matches despite 80% tiles from session already in map. Both session/map have fingerprints. Same test with version 1.9 finished in 3 sec, also didn't find match. I also tried Mapper - test take 5 sec and matched perfectly.

Also i have problem with manual merge: after session loaded to layer it showed fine, but if i zoom-in tiles disappear from layer and only border left visible, so finding right position becomes very hard. In v1.9 all works fine.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been pretty busy with work the last few days.

About the manual merge problem: I found the problem and it will be fixed in the next version, sorry for that.

About the merging problem, I'll do some tests to see if I can find the problem.
Are there fingerprints for Every tile or are there Tiles without fingerprints too? You can check this by comparing the lines count of the fingerprints file with the number of Tiles in the folder.
It seems kinda weird to me that it takes half an hour for matching when there are fingerprints available. This really shouldn't take that long.

Thanks for the feedback.

I checked: there ~300 difference between lines in fingerprints.txt and number of tile files. but all sessions which i test was from bdew client(or merged with his combiner), so i think its because blacklisted fingerprints.

Version 2.0.1
Minor Performance Improvements.
Fixed a Bug when working with Layers causing them to be invisible.

@Fenume : This should fix your problem with Layers, please let me know if it's still occuring.

Next i will be checking the merging process.

Amazing tool. Compiles tiles pretty fast as well as loads from an export directory.
I got problem only once when I merged new 15 tiles with created map, even if those files were copied to the export folder they didn't appear on the map for a while, unless I cleared the "img" folder
