I'll add an option to disable the notifications, i'd prefer if all notifications made sounds for uniformity.
Add less harsher sound? Because current one is really edgy.

I'm adding an option to disable logon/off notifications and an option to disable sounds for ALL notifications in next version.

I'll add an alternative optional sound later, once i find a good free one that i like.

Ganeshi wrote:Could the functionality of pressing Home be altered depending on which camera mode you are in? Would be nice to hit one button and snap to true north rather than the closest ortho angle, and without affecting zoom level.

I'm changing it as following:
Left/Right arrow will rotate by 90 degrees in the diagonal and normal mode, 45 degrees in 8 way and 18 degrees (=20 presses for a full circle) in free mode.
Home will bring rotate the view north in all modes except default, which will continue behaving as is.
Home will zoom out if you are in "zoomed in" mode (beyond the level where snapping stops) and will never zoom in.

Hodoo wrote:Nice client overall, but would it be possible for an option to toggle the Shift+Scroll functionality? I'd much rather be able to turn it off than have the lack of speed and inability to scroll some things into certain inventories on occasion. (e.g., berries and nuts into tables)

I'll make it optional in next version.

I'm also fixing the slow transfer speed. Special inventories (like herbalist table) are more problematic as only the server knows what should/shouldn't go into them.

New update - v1.11
  • Added automatic curiosity study (see below)
  • Added player/animal movement vectors
  • Added cursor item hide hotkey (CTRL+Q)
  • Added timestamps to chat
  • Added FPS limiter options
  • Added hotkey to show debug info (CTRL+ALT+D)
  • Added option to enable/disable scroll sorting
  • Added hotkey for logoff (CTRL+X)
  • Added option to enable/disable kin on/off notifications optional
  • Added option to enable/disable notification sounds
  • Added estimated times to all object with progress
  • Added study timers to attention meter tooltip
  • Added quick hand equipment slots and hotkeys (based on romovs)
  • Improved crash reporting

  • Reshuffled options windows, added interface options
  • Fixed crash on invalid brightness settings
  • Fixed multiple issues with mouse follow mode
  • Fixed crash with mass transfer/drop in equipment screen

Cursor item hide
  • Enable by ticking AUTO in study report
  • Will automatically insert curiosities to study from player inventory
  • Checks for required attention and that the same curiosity is not being studied
  • All other inventory windows will be closed before moving a curiosity

Known issue: Does not check if curiosity can't fit due to size - If this happens it will go into a loop trying to insert it (Will be fixed in a future version)

Cursor item hide
  • Hides the item currently "held" by the mouse cursor
  • Press again to restore the item
  • You can walk around, interact with objects and inventories without putting the item down
  • You won't be able to pick up other items
  • After relogging the item will reappear on the cursor

Greate update! But still it luck critical features like:
  • Video options: Disable biome, disable weather, simple crops. - (critical)
  • Ability to include custum interface (gfx folder) - (critical)
  • Alarm on unknown/red players.
  • hotkeys for movement speed changes - (critical)
  • Ability to drag minimaps and resize it. (with buttons for grid & center on map)

Also good to add:
  • Autio: Chip & Squeak sounds volume.
  • Ability to drag quick hand equipment slots.

  • hotkeys for movement speed changes - will consider, not sure where to put them w/o conflicts
  • Ability to drag minimaps and resize it - you can enable dragging in options, drag with middle mouse and center with ctrl+middle mouse click. I don't like floating/resizeable map, so probably won't add that.

Also good to add:
  • Autio: Chip & Squeak sounds volume - maybe
  • Ability to drag quick hand equipment slots - will make them part of the minimap/chat frame, so no

I wonder if instead of having to juggle all these hotkeys on the dev side every time a new feature is requested or added it would be easier to just make an all-inclusive Hotkey window and allow the user to deal with what keys are used for what. By default the limited set of hotkeys in vanilla would be mapped, but could be changed and all custom features would come mapped to the community standard (or simply unmapped, let the user find a contortionist key combo they can carpal tunnel it up with).

This would also allow you to not use keys which are common Windows combos like CTRL-V which is the shortcut for Paste, but if the player wants to, they can.

Don't know if possible but an input based (rather than just check marks) system might work best. That would allow those of us with the capability to use Mouse 12, etc. based on our own OS rather than having to hard-code everything.

Additional small feature request: Could you add a slightly opaque background to text in the main render window? Things like crop stage are very hard to read sometimes.

This is something i have thought about and would like to do in the future when i have the time. I would still like to provide sensible defaults for all hotkeys tho so it doesn't really solve the juggling :P

There is a black stroke around the text. I don't like the idea of adding a rectangular background as it's too intrusive. Maybe i'll play around with the colors of the text/stroke to make it more readable.

The client will load the login screen and allow me to press play but fails to load the character/map when I press play. It spits back an error, is there something I can do? Thanks

Surprisingly, giving me the actual error it spits might help.

The crop text visibility may just have to do with the fact that its red outlined in black, on a usually already dark background, ie plowed dirt.

Your font is also slightly different than the other clients, larger (yay!) but also a thinner stroke width which seems to make the colors duller and contrast poorly with whatever is behind them.
