Actually looking at his code more I think the issue is his updater doesn't compare file sizes, so if a download fails halfway it just assumes that file is up-to-date. If you try running it in a new folder (no other files) it should acquire everything.

I have an empty directory.

I run update-hafen.jar and I get this output.

The output window automatically closes. I still have an empty directory

For cases where the file doesn't actually exist without the if check it doesn't throw an exception, thus cfg is never created and saving doesn't work.
Well, it won't crash if file is absent - it will create new one. But it will crash if file cannot be created. So only time options are not going to save is when config file cannot be created. But it indeed needs fixing.

You are running it from program files - which is protected folder. So without admin rights updater can't put files there. Try to create folder inside you user home directory and run updater from there. Another issue might be Comodo Firewall - it has some Auto-Sanbox settings that make updater download fioles into some hidden folder. But client usually runs fine in this case, you just can't locate files.

That Program Files directory was actually completely artificially created by me. It is a data drive, and WIndows is installed on a completely different drive, so there should be no admin rights issue. However, I did try running the updater in a location under my user directory, and it still didn't work. I don't have Comodo Firewall, but I do have Windows Firewall active. What would you suggest?

Well for me CFG cfg was ending up as null after the client started (at least in my fork) so I had to add code to check for null from loadFile so it'd leave it init'd with a default value.

What's the command to auto pick up all similar items on the ground?

It's shift+right click in the normal client.. but that doesn't work here.

Is there any way to manually configure this since the updater isn't working for me and there doesn't appear to be a solution?

Could we get the simulated UO-style move toward cursor on LMB that bdew added in his final update? If yes, may also want to check with jorbtar to see what an acceptable frequency of move requests would be.

Would also like to request UI elements' locations be persistent across sessions, ie window positions saved and loaded so you don't have to rearrange them every time you log in.

when you click update-haven it generates some files
this solution was given earlier in this thread btw

edit to clarify : it generates the files if they don't exist in the folder where is "update-haven"
So you create a new folder , copy update-haven in your new folder.
At this point you only have update-haven in your folder.
You click update-haven , new files are created.
You copy all the files from your new folder ( even update-haven) into the ender folder.
It should work now.
