Well, i make it work, but dunno how. I installed latest jdk and created new project step by step from guide, but in version choosing step i pick latest version. I didn`t help too, after double click on run or hafen-client there still was the same error. But then somehow i misclicked on the play triangle in ant build zone and it started all scripts(?) from zone, from build-env to run. And then there was no errors exept of runtime error in hafen "Haha, you stupid notebook user", because project on latest jdk version choose latest jre version to run app(or dunno how it works, because only jre i have is 8.25). But after that i manually run compiled hafen.jar with 8.25 and it runs, logins and works fine.
The only thing I can suggest on what might have gone wrong is that having multiple Java versions maybe messed up you paths causing compile issues and issues within the IDE but again it hard to really tell what the issues are without knowing exact step by step and your system. If it compiles and runs fine then I am not sure I see a problem with it and glad it works for you? :)

It is saved per individual computer. I think it in the My Game hafen or something directory and need to copy that over but tbh I have never attempted this and there probably more steps associated with just copying those files over. Purus had a system to handle this as well but this feature is not supported currently in amber.

But some other people may know a better way to do this.

hi,

i also copied the folder but my map is just blank (new map), i have like 20 gb of map data which just wont merge... my guess is that the actual merged version of the map is stored in a different folder... anyone knows where or how to merge all the map tiles again?

My guess without actually going into that section of code and figuring it out is that there is a list of coordinates where the tiles should go and a tile map that corresponds to each coordinate so it can display it. So I doubt that just copying your map folder is enough to fix and most likely need that other list copied from where ever that is. Older versions of purus had this feature so maybe the Ardennes inherited the ability to share maps for this?

So I've tried to use this client because it comes with a bunch of extras and addons, but I've always had an issue where it crashed 5 minutes after starting it up. Now I've loaded it up recently and it crashes pretty much after I log a character in. It goes through the whole too fast to keep up with loading texts of building this and doing that, and then it comes to finalizing tilesets, shows the game screen for about half a second, and then the client window disappears. It does this repeatedly, without any error messages popping up.

Any idea what is going on? I run Windows 10 64 bit.

Using a laptop by any chance? Does vanilla client work ok?

I´ve also had similar problems with the client. Vanilla works ok and I´m not on laptop.
Mine stops working after about 10 minutes into the game and it keeps decreasing the time the client runs, though I only tested it a few times. The screen freezes and I can´t do anything other than closing the application. I´m going to see if I can find a fix on the forum because that circle around aggro creatures will probably save me a lot of trouble.
After trying to find something about it on the forum it might be that I´m running my Intel inbuilt video card. Is that really why I ca´t use the client?
This is one of the errors in the folder.

I'm using a laptop with an Intel core I7 and Nvidia 960M card. Vanilla works fine. It occasionally crashes with an error (I can click Okay and it closes), but that can be hourly or hours apart. The amber client was like every 5 minutes, until now when it just vanishes upon logging in a character.

I always loved using the amber client, but now since I have a Mac, I can run the original client, but not amber or even ender's client. Ive attempted all the examples that I can search up, does anyone know how I can possibly fix this?..
