Hey, im really appreciate this client, im using it for 95% of my gameplay for over 2 years, that was an awsome job.
But rn i have really bad issue. There is no orca sound when you meet it. Is there some simple way to fix it (like add orca on the list at sound alarm page or some other way?) Its quite important.
Regards.

Hello, I am having problems launching the Amber client. Each time I try to start Amber, I get an error and the following text:

"An error has occurred!
the error report could not be processed because of the following error:

My take on it is this (and it may be completely wrong): Be sure to use 64-bit Java if it's appropriate to your operating system, and the most recent "official" release of Java--version 8.x. I believe OpenJDK 8.x works, also. I'm not 100% sure either of these will resolve the matter, but it has come up a few times the last several months. It seems most of the errors that aren't traceable to something else more specific with Amber (and other related clients) are this.
Opinions expressed in this statement are the authors alone and in no way reflect on the game development values of the actual developers.

What's your processor and graphics card, and what version of drivers do you have installed (if the above suggestion does not fix the issue).

On really old graphics cards, or old computers without graphics cards, you may need a newer version of the driver, if there is one available that supports that feature.

This would be amazing.
While I appreciate the work Loftar has put into the new client I still can't live without most of the QoL stuff available here in Amber.

Inquiring minds want to know if Amber is going to be updated with the new rendering changes.

No concrete plans regarding this at the moment. I haven't seen the new code yet and cannot estimate when or whether it will be done at all.

jorb wrote:The new client is live and being used as the official default client now. There are a few bugs loftar is working on still, but for the most part we are up and running. We urge all custom client makers to update to the new standard, as we are eager to end support for the old client resource structure.

I wonder how long devs will support old client.
