In Audio settings move Ambient volume to the left - it's the music.
You will still hear chopping sounds and so on.
This disables a lot more than just music. Cave sounds, wind, and as suggested by the name, all other ambient sounds...
I'm assuming the music is just hardcoded in with the ambient sounds and can't be disabled on their own.
