I have something similar, or perhaps identical.

Do other people with this crash also have a history of using both the ender client and the official client?

It appears that on my system, a directory they both share is getting corrupted. I reinitialized it yesterday, and it was corrupt again today.

On a mac, the directory is "$HOME/.haven/data"

On windows it's called "Haven and Hearth\data"

I don't know what it's called on linux.

Note that if you delete the directory, you lose your map, so export it before experimenting. Also repopulating the directory from scratch can take a while. If you get odd behaviour, wait a lot longer than you think you need to. Or use the ":stats on" command to see when the client finishes redownloading resources.

I haven't updated anything recently - not the OS, and not Java.

I don't recall when I last launched the ender client - I tend to leave it running until it leaks so much memory that I have performance issues (yay java!) or the Mac needs to be rebooted. It's probably been about a week. Definitely not more than 11 days, as I rebooted the Mac 10 days and 21 hours ago.

The official client appears to be fine, other than having the usual deficiencies of the official client.

I'm getting this same error on my Windows 11. I'm not really as tech savvy as most others playing. Going back into files makes me wary- so extremely detailed instructions would help a LOT for me if possible. My last login was actually just about 8 hours ago so very recent issue but now recurring.

I have the same error on Windows7 client here. And the beta client closes window after starting without any error messages and doesn't create an error.log file.

until yesterday, due to the latest Windows 11 update, the problem consisted in the fact that "launcher-hafen" (and all the files it creates once started) was seen as a serious threat and therefore blocked or deleted. Having solved that step, today there is no way to start it because I also get this error:

Updated both versions with fixed QBuff crash.

Tell me what needs to be done? Just yesterday everything was working. Even the official client does NOT start.

re-download launcher from first post. Be warned that at the moment Windows Defender thinks my launcher is a virus, so it may delete file after download. I'm currently looking into ways to remedy that.
