Merging normally takes up to 1 minute. I'll check the problem with merging. Thanks for reporting.

I think the merging freeze problem was caused by me putting 10 in the "keep sessions with less tiles" field. I think it was getting stuck on sessions with cave maps in them that only had 9 tiles.

What antivirus are you using?

Perhaps it is intentional that it creates completely black zoom level map tiles?

In any case it doesn't hang anymore for me now, just a lot of black tiles in my level 1-4 zoom folders. But I'm so certain it didnt happen in the past.

Edit: Also, there's a bug with the current text colouring where it only uses the first non-zero value for its colour, instead of combining.

Edit2: Also, thanks again for your tool, it's been a great help.

Current version: 3.1.10
Changes:
1. Added color selection for background and map grid to the options.
2. Fixed possible automerge error with searching for duplicated tiles.
3. Fixed map zooming creating empty black tiles.
4. Fixed re-zooming cave levels.
5. Improved performance on map browsing when you shift the map.
6. Fixed markers' colors.
7. Changed from .net4 to .net4.5.

This tool reads/writes files on hard drive only in MapArchive/Sessions/.exe location folders. You may secure it some firewall and make sure it does not perform any other activity if you like
Silushun wrote:hy does it keep crashing when i go to add extra map files? my map only gets so big before the Map Tool just dies.. any help?

Some extra comments would be helpful. What actions do you perform and what do you get in result?
TerraSleet wrote:Is it supposed to take hours to auto-merge?

Can't find any reason that it takes so long to merge. The very point of this tool was to make a speedy merging tool. Browsing was added much later. It should not merge sessions longer than 1-2 minutes on 800mb maps. Please let me know if the problem occurs again or of some of you have it working longer than expected. There can be a possible bug since the merging algorithm was slightly changed lately but I can't catch it without your reports.

Thank you and you are welcome. ;)

Didn't starts at all. Any clue why ?

There may be some issue with settings.xml
Try to remove the file and start the program. I'll look for the issue.

Markers will be fixed in the next build. Must have missed them, sorry.
