A Reshade Compatible Client?

Postby wilemanaltogether » Tue Sep 08, 2015 2:22 am

I was wondering if this is something that could be done with a custom client, or if the incompatibility with Reshade is hardcoded. I was really looking forward to seeing what I could do with Reshade on the new haven but it doesn't work, its constantly stuck on an infinite loading loop. Reshade produces a log that looks like this.

I've no idea what this means but this is the developers answer to what is happening.
"OpenGL games which make excessive use of wglMakeCurrent are not compatible with ReShade (it shows itself in an infinite loading loop)."

So...I'm not all that tech savvy when it comes to open gl or java, or the limits of what can be modded in a game like this, but would it be possible for someone with the know how to make a client which doesnt have this incompatibility.

For those of you that arent familiar with reshade, its essentially a generic version of enb which works on most games and can do a lot more. Its basically photoshop for games, in laymans terms. Heres a couple of pics of what it can do.

Apologies for the massive images..I've no idea how to make them smaller.

What practical idea in use it? As I understand you want put graphical filters on game, but here we like to remove this filters like nightvision feature in custom clients.

idek what reshade is, but in general - with ENB and alike you inject new code into directx or openGL, hijacking the rendering -replacing the shaders previously in place for rendering certain aspects of the game.
That way more complex light effects, fancy water shaders etc can be inserted into the game. As everything 3D goes through a shader first before being displayed you can modify a lot visually.

Even Minecraft can become somewhat decent looking when utilizing more advanced shaders. (Using dynamic light, water, wind shaders etc)

You wouldnt be able to use standalone sweetfx or enb because sweetfx uses directx 9-11 and enb only uses dx9. Reshade contains sweetfx, gemfx, mcfx and a customfx with some stuff and it works on opengl games, which haven uses. Havens graphical code is incompatible with it though.
