Server status page

Postby deboon » Fri Sep 25, 2015 5:40 pm

When old HnH was live there was the page which was displayed current state of server and number online hartlings. ( http://www.havenandhearth.com/portal/srv-state )

There is something similar for Hafen now? Or just main page of HnH portal displays it?

I want to develop some alerting software that notify players when server up/down like I did in w6 for HnH.

I'm also interested in this, it was quite nice to be able to track users and chars separately.

That's actually my tracker, and I'm currently just pulling what I need from the main page, like you mentioned before. But it was much nicer having a proper API to hit for it. For those who hadn't seen the srv-state page before the change, it used to offer:

state - Current server state
lastbeat - For tracking how long the server had been down (and possibly the Lag-O-Meter as well?)
globtime - Current ingame time
users - The number of people connected to the game server
chars - The number of characters online in the game world

So it offered quite a bit more than you can get from polling the homepage, you could also telnet to it for realtime updates as opposed to polling. I'd love to see it return :)
