Laptop Purchase

Postby Porterwake » Mon Nov 02, 2015 5:11 pm

My current laptop is 5 years old and I'm looking to upgrade. Does anyone play on a laptop and which make and model do you have that works the best with Haven and Hearth.

Keep up the great work, this is a really fun game and such a great idea.

I dont suggest buying laptops at all. Desktop masterrace.
But if youre looking for laptol then you need to specify for what you will use it and what is price range. Do you want it to be small or big?

Thats so old they dont sel lit anymore. Laptops are seasonal. Theres new model like every year and they stop selling old ones in trying to scam money from people.

You should always buy dekstop except if you REALLY need laptop. (Like you need to carry it around with you)
Desktops are more powerful. For less amount of money.
With cost of size and unmovability.

You shouldn't recommend Lenovo anything to people - they've been caught installing EUFI firmware rootkits, software injectors, and have compromised many many systems with their LSE (Lenovo Service Engine). They're unsafe at any cost.

I know the desktop is better. I am well aware, but I'm rarely home with my position as a teacher and coach. I would definitely prefer a laptop, so if we could keep the suggestions to that let me know.

^^ This - i wouldn't recommend Lenovo as well atm ... better go DELL with i3 or i5 (for Notebooks - !great Servicemanuals for everyone to DL in case you want to fix it yourself - i really enjoy getting DELL NBs for repair) ... or get a MIni PC (with i3,i5 and good graphics chip i.e Zotac E Series) and a small TFT (16'' ) for it - you're still in need of power plugs but it's easy moveable and offers much better upgrade and repair options...

I also recommend to look at Refurbishers sites ...

I have Intel. And i have never faced any issues with haven or any other stuff. You are probably heard propaganda from poor russians that cant afford intel. ¦]
