raspberry pi maybe?

Postby eliminoid » Thu May 19, 2016 8:20 pm

Hi! Has anyone tried to run haven client on raspbian? The rpi3 seems to have enough power for this job.
The client gave me an error that it cannot load 'gluegen' library for linux armv6. So I downloaded "gluegen-rt-natives-linux-armv6hf.jar" and now it says that I have no certificate for this file. Do I need to compile haven from source with this library included?

i am curious about this too. which raspi are you using? would be cool to get hnh to run on a zero haha
when i looked it up, it was something about raspi has a different jdk installed by default than desktop in raspbian.

which client are you trying? if you're not afraid of coding some, the scrifen client has an option to disable rendering, would require some scripting though

I have a pi 3 model b+ and pi 2 as well. Tried the amber client and the official one built from source code. Both have the same problems.

Can I just disable all security somehow?

PS I think the rendering is not a problem here. See even RPI2 is capable of running some heavy 3d graphics: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9aBecYzerI and pi3 has twice as much of gpu power

You have to download completely new gluegen stuff so they have same certificates.
Like you have to download new gluegen-rt.jar and so on. And maybe compile them.
I got it working myself (but now theres some other issues)

Code: Select all
javax.media.opengl.glexception no default device available

Is the error.
I guess it has something to do with opengl and gpu/gpu drivers.
Might be due old jogl version which devs are too lazy to update?
Im not sure.

I don't know much but I know the pi has a hardware opengl accelerator. the trick is going to be interfacing with this. I know that only one of the pi media player use the graphics hardware. all others use software decoding and its to slow for hd videos. the media player that uses the hardware is command prompt only but has a few front end type helper programs.

I think it could work great but will need devved a bbit by someone 1000x more knowledgeable than me.

I guess someone could make HnH autostudy to work on rasberry pi with purely protocol level so it would not take up too much cpu/ram.
