New search list feature doesn't work for me

I hit shift-S to bring up the searchable list (I love this thing btw thanks for implementing it).

All items are listed.

As soon as I type in ANYTHING the list empties and stays empty. Capital-S, lowercase-s, complete name "Sprucecap", partial name "Spr", nothing works. I have to manually scroll up and down the whole list to find what I want.

I have talked to two people about this and it works for both of them.

Do you mean the one in amber/purus/prime clients?
What OS, system language, keyboard layout do you have?

Moved to Wizards Tower as this is a custom client feature and dosn't belong in Bugs.
