Streaming Issue

Postby jollibee » Fri Aug 18, 2017 2:05 am

Hello I tried streaming this game but the footage is choppy and low fps even though my gameplay is 60fps plus.

Im using OBS and this is the only game that does it. Stream video is stuttery even though my gameplay is smooth.

My cpu and ram resource are below 50%. I tried increasing bitrate to 5000 but stream video is still stuttery/low fps.

Has anyone encounter this issue at all and have a fix or advice for this?

I can stream Black Desert Online and BF1 fine but not this game for some odd reason.

Here is a video with my current issues.

I think it's just haven not being optimized + streaming that gets to your pc.

Try disabling all those stockpile animations hide crops, hide trees.

Go into a house or cave and walk around a bit there, FPS usually way higher there, if it stutters exactly the same then it might be something else :D

It's cause you are using game capture or window capture ... those doesn't work well with OpenGL, from my understanding.
The only solution i found is to use the display capture, or screen capture ... i don't remember how it's called, in short you have to capture all your desktop, that works fine.
Also, type in game
Code: Select all
:bghz 60
, this will keep 60 fps even if the game window is not on focus.

Game capture with OBS will cause lag/stuttering/black screens

Disable aero if that's a factor for you and then capture the game using window capture or monitor capture (window capture will help with your fps)

Window capture is the same of game capture to me. Only monitor capture works fine for me. (well, maybe they updated OBS ... last time i tried was some months ago)

I can confirm this. I stream from time to time, and have found this to be the most consistent.
