Amber Client Error - hostname can't be null

Postby RandomForestDude » Fri Nov 09, 2018 6:44 pm

Hi,

I recently re-installed java and tried booting up haven and hearth, however this message appears:

1.68.3.015deda9
Windows 10 10.0 x64, 1.8.0_191 amd64
NVIDIA Corporation (GeForce GT 730/PCIe/SSE2) - 4.6.0 NVIDIA 388.13

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: hostname can't be null
at java.net.InetSocketAddress.checkHost(Unknown Source)
at java.net.InetSocketAddress.<init>(Unknown Source)
at haven.SslHelper.connect(SslHelper.java:155)
at haven.AuthClient.<init>(AuthClient.java:49)
at haven.Bootstrap.run(Bootstrap.java:149)
at haven.MainFrame.run(MainFrame.java:268)
at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source)

I have re-installed java and amber client but that didn't work.
Yesterday I restarted my computer and that did the trick but this time it always says this.

Any way to fix this?

Start with the run.bat - not the haven.jar

You have to add some things such as the server name as a parameter to the jar. You can look at run.bat for the parameters.
