Alternative (high res) map-image output.

Or: Some feature(s) that allows for generating images like the one below, ... in a consistent manner.

Image
... minus the cursor of course. (oops)

Personally I'm thinking something like a console command like:
":mapshot <size> (<f/p>) ... "
- mapshot: would take care of the needed cam-settings. (top-down view, rotation zero (ie: same orientation as minimap), no perspective (or as little as possible), ....)
- <size>: some value relating to the output image size.
-- <f/p>: ... perhaps optional "Full-map" vs "Player-map" setting. (perhaps with an additional trailing objects-bool setting)
--- (No output filespec input. Not needed in my view ... it usually only gets in the way. Outputting some datetime stamped files works better.) (... Upload to HnH server only, )

I know, just a day-dream of mine that not going to happen. (for whatever reason/excuse)

---
Follow up electric dream.

Output Filename:
in case of custom clients, which already output mini-map tiles, a related coordinate file naming might be a potential option.
Should make merging hi-res-maps almost as easy as merging mini-map tiles. (depending on the used software of course)

Neat!
And what are "Full-map", "Player-map" and "trailing objects"?
Also I wonder what would be a purpose (beside being totally awesome)

Also I wonder what would be a purpose.

- "Full-map": The whole part of the ground/map that is currently loaded. The example image is a "Full-map". (note the lack of any trees at the bottom area)
- "Player-map": Would be the map-part that also has additional objects. Ie: Only the player-view area inside the Full-map.

- "trailing objects": Read it as "an additional trailing ... setting"
-- In case of a "Full-map" image, which shows no objects (like trees, buildings, etc) outside the active players view ... it kinda makes sense one would also have objects removed from the players-view area when generating a Full-map. (and vise-versus for player-map setting) (not needed if the "Full-map" and "player-map" would follow/adhere to those given limits)

Purpose: Overall easier creation of nicer and higher resolution personal local maps. Think city-sized player community overview for example.

I was more thinking ...

"Ps" being Purus Pasta Client ?

Currently playing around with Amber+Ortho+Max/Extended-Zoom. At least that gives some reproducibility for between sessions. +(relative good area coverage)
