Hey folks, I was thrilled by viewtopic.php?f=49&t=67266, but rather disappointed by how much effort it was to set up, so I built my own version.

It's doing a very similar thing, but is a bit easier to install, as it's available as a completely ready to run docker image, or you can build it yourself with just docker.

Some features I've added:

Authenticated (somewhat) map uploads: uses a unique token per user as part of the url to upload from the client, so someone would have to guess an existing token to be able to upload bad data.
More users: Have multiple users, with variable "read map", "upload", or "admin" privileges.

Having never used Docker before I was able to install and set this up in about 10 mins on my local windows server and docker desktop, really painless, nice job.
I could see a use case for this even if you don't plan to share the map or use tracking features, can be setup to run locally in a tiny footprint docker container and build your map for you as you play rather than having to use a map stitcher and whatnot.

Version 3 is released
Docker tag: v-3 or v-3.0

New features include:
  • automatic real-time tile updates on the map display
  • cache busting (so tiles shouldn't be old)
  • reworked tile storage to allow 0,0 grid remaps easier in the future

Basic Claim Safety (And what you’re doing wrong) (I recommend you read it in it's entirety, but TL:;DR: Build a Palisade.)

Combat Guide (Overview, PVE, PVP) (Tells you how to try and escape, and make it less likely to die when caught.)
