Hi, I've been using that shonky version of Ard's client that quite a few people are using now, personally I prefer it for it's multiple action bars, clean UI, and of course all the extra client features are nice but of course I could find most of those in pasta or amber but I like the other stuff mentioned, see the image below, it reminds me of how my WoW UI used to look back in the day and that's quite comforting...



The problem is, this client is now getting worryingly out of date... so this is my appeal to you lot that are sitting on more up to date clients similar to or built off of ard's. pls gib client.

The only and obvious solution is to make your own client if you are not satisfied with what is being offered.

I'm sure that's the obvious solution to someone capable in java etc. But fairly simple B2B web dev is about as deep as I've managed to make it into programming mid-level jscript made me want to turn over a desk. I work full time, have other hobbies, a partner and also y'know, I play this game...

if I had the time or aptitude to learn, then I would. So unless you're going to personally tutor me that's not going to work.

Lol shubla copies other peoples work, codes in 3-4 lines of code he saw on wikihow, puts a donation button and then calls it his work.

But at least he'll teach you how to code in a bitcoin mining and info stealing feature into your client.

You would be surprised how much effort it even takes MAINTAINING a client, no matter how many features you put in it. It really grinds on you.

I guess it depends how well you have made the features that you added in the client. I think if you take certain design choices you can make maintaining of custom client a lot less painless, but sadly, people often come up with these design ideas only later during development of the client additions...

Bigger problem is private clients. It takes no effort to post thread on wizards tower with link to your git repository. So people saying "I don't want to spend time providing the support to users if my client was public" are just bullshitting. You don't have to provide users any support. And making the git public is maintenance free.

I use gitlab to protest against M$ owned github. There should be no issues in making derivatives of my client as it is a standard git repository, only hosted in gitlab after all.
