I get error after i put my name/pw in but before it actually logs me in game. both with amber client and ardennes. vanilla client is ok though (sadly ;()

It works in that you remove the missing resources issue, it doesn't work in that it clears all of your map data, flags, quest givers, etc.

you can try to sort files in cache by date and delete only most recent of them
