How to decode client res files?

Postby ErdTod » Fri Aug 21, 2020 12:09 am

I have found a really old thread from 2011 that suggest some sort of tool for that, but all the links there are broken already... Was unable to find anything else, so I thought I might ask here: how do I decode/encode res files (namely, Amber client's audio files for custom alerts). Is there any easy way for that?

Came to the same conclusion, about compiled res-tool links on forum in general, some time ago. :(

Not every one can, or wants to, build from source.

If you point to a git repo of such a tool, someone else might be willing to compile it.
I also have my own code to unpack and repack res files which I could turn into a separate tool if necessary.

If your willing to make your source code public in such a case. I see no problem with that. "The more the merrier".
