Inactivity - unstakes land.

If you don't log in for 30 or 60 days, your claim should be unstaked to give new players a chance at claiming mines and the like.

Currently in the game:
If a village claim overlaps a personal claim stake, the Lawspeaker can remove the Stake Claim at a cost of 250 authority per tile.

However,

I agree with your suggestion.

he wasn't talking jokingly. The next iteration of the game will more than likely have claim upkeep of some form or other.

I think that claim upkeep is not necessary if you just have peoples stakes unclaimed after not logging in for 30 days or so. By 30 days they are definately inactive and not likely to return.

Wrong. sometimes another game catches my eye and I'll play it that long without logging in. no, upkeep is def the way to go.

I said not likely, after 30 days. Most games like on console or single player computer you can beat in far under 30 days. Most other MMO's you may just out-right quit for. If not, just log back in every 29 days so you don't lose it all.

Upkeep is far better so we don't have as many alt claims everywhere.

Yeah but then all you gotta do is spend a little amount of time on your alts to keep your claims. Same game, different rules. This thread is also primarily about inactive people who have quit but have claimed valuable resources.
