An easier way to Launch/straigtup use

Postby mipoh » Tue Jul 08, 2014 12:10 am

I bet all you people that figured it out will slap me for this but i have a really hard time trying to download it. I do all the steps and everything but all java says is that its just unable to launch the application. I think you guys should just make a straightforward way to launch it and download it. By that i mean, just make one easy thing to download and bam!, just click on it in your home page (and or sidebar/wherever your things are on your computer/pc/whatever) and it just opens it up like a normal file/app/thingy . Less steps and stuff. I understand that that may be hard but you made a very epic game, as i have at least seen through game play, so i hope it gives you some ideas.. and I Hope I can figure out how to download this... :|

welcome!

default client - play button on webpage - you click it and open autohaven(.jnlp) with Java Web Start Launcher (it downloads necessary files and starts the client) - the main point why it's not that easy anymore are security measures Oracle had to do because of security flaws in the Java browser add ons ...

!check threads for Java Security Settings in Bugs Section at forums! viewtopic.php?f=4&t=35081

also there are different custom clients to be found in Wizards Tower Section (Ender, Xcom, Anemone, Union...)

be aware that the client is written in Java so that you can play on Windows, MacOsX and Linux machines and only need to have a Java runtime installed (think about you can't run an . exe nativly on Linux for example)

try again and have fun
