Don't think this would be a good thing.
1) The minimap is not a "tell all". (also. Tree's don't show on in-game created (regional I think) maps.)
2) Information is only useful so long you don't end up with a information overload case.

I see your only interested in the "how many logs" tree information. But thats just only one aspect of tree's. what about the others aspects.
The only time where it would make sens (to me at least) if you could remove other information. and only show a tree related area map. (information management.)
