Minimap: Remove Outlines Between Terrain Types

On the minimap the black lines between terrain types should be removed. This is necessary because the new terrain spawning is dramatically increasing the surface area between terrain types. This means there is a huge amount of the black lines between the terrain on the minimap, which adds to the cluttered appearance. The lines around stone tiles could be kept, but anything that changes types by itself should probably be borderless.

While we're on the subject of improving minimap readability and clarity:
    » Reduction of trees to 1-pixel colored dots, color based on general tree type (Color A, 1 log. Color B, 2 logs. Color C, 3 logs)
    » Player position to a CRISP 5-pixel X which is unambigiously centered directly on the players position
    » Houses reduced to their footprint dimensions as the hollow box outline, so you can see if they are on paved ground or not

Would all help immensely, as by removing the GIANTXBOXHUGECLUTTER images would just plain reduce graphical static; in a cluster of trees, where does one tree end and the other begin? Could there be a much-needed refuge house be hiding amongst that garbage? Oh shit, no time to tell, you're getting chased by a bear!

Outlines on few tiles of grass spawning everywhere just look ugly and map is not readable.

Don't think this would be a good thing.

1) The minimap is not a "tell all". (also. Tree's don't show on in-game created (regional I think) maps.)

2) Information is only useful so long you don't end up with a information overload case.
-- practical: adding additional color's per tree type will need to be clearly distinguishable, for all ground types that they might grow on, or other wise it will not be useful

I see your only interested in the "how many logs" tree information. But thats just only one aspect of tree's. what about the others aspects.
The only time where it would make sens (to me at least) if you could remove other information. and only show a tree related area map. (information management.)

While Onionfighter's thread is being jacked (+1 from me on OP btw)

Alignment of the minimap direction to the screen would also be nice. Arguable maybe, but I would prefer it this way.

(Left to right)
1) Original.
2) Flat merge.
3) Little fathering. (no real difference.)

(trees and others ground elements ignored.)

No border at all don't really work in my view. Grass and Forest are to similar in color, so they just merge into a flat green area.
(but I might be to used to the borders for the moment.)
