Flee Mode Change

Postby Oblivior » Sun Aug 22, 2010 4:22 pm

Ok so im a bow hunter and the only thing that seriously pisses me off is the crappy combat design.

For example it just aint right that a noob with a low Q slingshot can get the full amount of LP from a bear and that we with high Q and high perception have to contantly break combat from a bear to even catch him because he is so ridiculous fast.

And even then when he is in flee mode and you break combat, stand right next to him and try to melee him hes still escapes everytime...
And that handicapped cursor where im not sure if im going to start doing the attack i wanted to do or that after 20 clicks im still not following my enemy...
And the lag it brings its deadly how are we supose to chase something when everytime i click i get hit with a huge lag swirl where i accidently fire my bow early and i have to chace the goddam bear boar or whatever it is all the way down.
So i think there seriously needs to be a change in this system.bears chould not flee even if they cant get you there bears rare enof to find and waaaay to fast.

Make those animals get stuned when they run into something or when they flee and u hit them they get wounded and slow down.
The way it is now just sucks i have to ruin my steel plate everytime i want kill a bear just to keep it at that spot because if it flees i can chace it all down the grid and lose my boat. and if the game decides to lag again i lose both the bear and my boat.

The fact that with pancho's client a screen 5X bigger then the original intended size you still cannot follow/chase the animal is just lame..

Doing it very, very wrong.

The problem is that you said 'bow' but you're not 1hkoing.

Even with a sling a 'prohunter' should 1hko imo.
Dont use bows if you dont have, say, 100 MM. (regular bow)

Slings can't 1hko boars or bears unless you have q555+ sling to 1hko boars brah...

Luckily boars are fine on 2hko since you use the first to make them run and with 100MM you hit them when they're running the second time.

You're right, I forgot to put in, with exception of bears.
And I one hit boars, all of them, always.

Where not talking about boars since these cant be chaced since there a little slower.
Where talking about a bear. whatever your Quality Sling or bow is you cant 1 hit him.
