I don't like the idea as a village idol, and indeed a village itself, is something that shouldn't be so temporal, and it's identity should be consistant throughout the Idol's active life.

Rebuilding an idol in an old ruin and renaming it anew makes sense, as establishing the new idol is an obvious act of rebirth; just changing the name of the village takes what little value a village already has in it's name an tradition. Not too mention trolls might want to rename their towns to confuse or misdirect local travellers. Basically I don't think it's worthwhile, villages should be somewhat serious activities and ceremonies to found and establish; they are in the hearthlands as it is, but not at the extent that it makes them inaccessible to use to their full functional advantages. Renaming the idol at any whim doesn't add to anything and detracts from what little tradition a village idol has already.

The reason why i would like it cus it's just bugging me soooo badly when i mistyped the name of the village.

In this case i typed in Jeruzalem instead of Jerusalem. Not something big, but it just bugs me. And it's hard for me to build a new one.
