Erm, yes... Besides carrot and plaice, there isn't much for low tier foods... I've been working pretty solid on per*exp, and i only have 608. Would be nice to be able to see things that are worthwhile.

I see no reason for it. Plaice is pretty easy, carrots are easier once you get them.

Sure, but less grind for points, and I know how you feel about grind; http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=14451

plaice is easy if you find a lake with shallow water and a fish spot but they only come out at night and are generally a pain in the ass. carrots are obviously the superior method since you can farm them. but realistically, starting out, there aren't any good sources of per. obviously i have plenty of peas, carrots, beetroot, and roasted deer now that it's not an issue, but early game would benefit from this, i think. since the only early game food sources are fish and foraging (and tree products which give no FEP (they should, btw)), there is a pretty narrow chance of getting PER early on, making you dump a lot more into exploration. granted the bloated bolete is a nice PER foragable, but you need a fair amount of per*expl to see it.

There's nothing wrong with having no FEP foods. They're there as a way for newbies to survive but also as an incentive to find other sources of food as well.

If it were changed (and I still don't agree that it should be), then their frequency should at least be reduced. As of right now they're by far the most common forageable.

I have spent several hours trying to catch plaice, with no luck. I agree that there should be some low level per food.
