Torching + Firefighting

Torching - allows you to burn houses, mansions, mine supports, etc. Skills required to get it would be Vandalism, Soldier Training, and Rage. It would cost 25k LP.
Log Cabin - Must be torched 5 times to be destroyed.
Timber House - Must be torched 20 times to be destroyed.
Stone Mansion - Stone Mansions take 50 torches to be destroyed.
Mine Supports - Take 2 torches to be destroyed.
Palisades - 10 torches per wall section, 20 per corner post.
After you have reached the required amount of torches, you must wait 30 seconds to 1 minute for the building/support/wall section to actually collapse. Base lp for each torch would be 15. This gives players time to put out the fire with buckets of water.
Which brings me to my next idea, Firefighting. This skill would require Valor, Militia Training, and Carpentry. Cost = 5k LP. To put out a fire, you have to equip a reinforced bucket. Reinforced buckets require 1 leather and 2 boards (Must have firefighting to make reinforced buckets). Reinforced buckets hold 4 liters of water, whereas normal buckets hold 2. To put out the fire, equip a bucket/reinforced bucket, right click the fire and click "Douse The Flames!". The ratio would be 1 liter of water per torch. Base lp per liter would be 5.

You already can use the "destroy" command on all of those things. What you propose just makes for easier griefing. What's the point of a palisade if it can get burned down by anybody with a 25k LP skill in 1 minute?

It would be better if you could light, for example, a palisade with a torch and it would take 12 hours to burn down and required more torching every hour. A regular bucket would be fine to put it out. It would be an alternative to battering rams, but require more attention and can be easily stopped.

I like my idea better:
Onionfighter wrote:So what if buildings that were severely damaged became unusable, and could be lit on fire, which would destroy them in a few hours, and would take a bit of effort to put out? Houses that were damaged but not lit on fire would be lit on fire by a couple decay hits.

Visually, this would be pretty cool.

It would render palisades completely useless because people usually aren't online when the thieves come by.

@Zampfeo: A 12 hour bonfire... yeah that makes sense.
Come back two hours earlier.
