Bears need to destroy weak fences/buildings

I've noticed ever since pathfinding was fixed, a increase in people building "under construction" shelters or fences that let them pick off bears because they can get into the shelter but the bear cant, thus making them able to just pelt it with tons of arrows without much worries.
I am unsure how to combat this "perfectly", but giving enraged bears the ability to destroy fences/weak buildings when they lack a path to the player would be cool.

thirded plus other threads.

bears can destroy construction sites would be a good short term solution,
second level of quality solution is to make em smart enough to run away when they can't path to their target
third level of quality would be to let them destroy objects similar to a player, as well as be able to work out whether it's worth them destroying a path to their target or running away.

I agree with all points. More generally, though, I need to create a good base in which to experiment with better AI. The current code for handling high-level AI decisions is a bit too ad-hoc and inflexible for its own good. It would be fun to play around with it more, but there are more pressing matters right now. We really want to get these new maps complete and working for the moment.

As long as the fightsystem isnt fixed, this is the only way for >100 melee chars to deal with bear. So please fix the system, then we can talk about Bear-AI...

just reduce bear collision size to one tile and the problem is solved

edit: somehow unfair for the newbs since they cant level as fast as everybody else could

Yo. I totally killed bears with 100 unarmed[which logically means they hit me more often], without abusing pathfinding or AI.
Just straight up faught them.
So there :p
In fact, i've never used beartraps myself [although i walked in one once when someone else was using it]... and suffer no problem dealing with bears.
