Ok so first off i am all about PvP in games and I think that PvP in this game could be fun and rewarding but here is what is not fun and rewarding
last night my settlement was attacked by a much higher level player. he killed all of my friends and killed one of my alts. Now as for me I don't care to much. he did very little damage to me, no property damage and killed an alt with barely even 20k lp. and besides that the alt was standing around outside his house while I was on my main going foraging so after all I DID set myself up for it.
However with that said those other players had just started playing the game that day. Now they hate the game and have sworn to never play it again.
Honestly if you want a successful game you need to stop people from raping noobs simply because they can it will make players stop playing and when those people tell others what happened it will run people off from ever trying the game.
after all how can this be considered an MMO if every 10 seconds the top 50 most powerful players are killing everyone so often that no one else wants to play the game.....
sounds to me like those people will have an enjoyable experience right up until the servers get taken down due to a lack of players...
think about it - you, as a dev team, want to make money and improve the servers as well maybe make some money for other things through donations then think about limiting how and when PvP can and does occur. and honestly if the 50 griefers don't like it and you manage to create a game that has 50000 players or more then those 50 players can go back to griefing in minecraft and let you go back to developing a successful and fun indie game
