Put quivers in the cloak slot.

Exactly what it says on the tin.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

You'd rather have a cloak than a backpack?

I sort of like the forced tradeoff decision between firepower and carrying capacity.

But it's contingent on archery being the superior way of dealing death (over melee/unarmed.) Because if you can basically do the same thing with melee/unarmed, you're obviously going to choose those over bows if you have to sacrifice a ton of inventory just to use a bow adequately (while you can just carry a sword to use melee effectively; or heck, presumably you don't need to carry anything to use unarmed effectively?)

Marksmanship has too many flaws.

- Limited damage
- Tradeoff inventory space
- Having to pick up arrows
- Limited to 40 attacks per fight

Is anyone actually using a bow these days? Ever since pathfinding, there's no reason whatsoever to use one, and I haven't met anyone that does.

How about we get two back slots? Then you get a quiver and a backpack, a quiver and a cloak, or a cloak and a backpack.

Yeah, I'm an archer. It's not like I've ever hunted anything successfully, but when I try I stand in shallow water and shore bombard them.
Surprise.

Archery is severely underpowered as it stands, and I wouldn't recommend anyone to get it until we have a chance to fix it. We're discussing a complete rework of th combat system.

I use archery rather successfully against L.VI creatures around innsmouth. Chak beats the crap out of them, I shoot them in the face. Everyone is happy!
