Does the special attack wound in line with current ones? I don't have much experience with combat.

maces, and flails.

Also, I'd like to see daggers implemented as well. If coins catch on, they could be used to cut someones purse. People would have to be wary of others walking past them.

That would be quite nice. Just so everyone could be unique. Same with clothing.

This, but I want more variety in how they work. Say a BattleAxe goes on strength alone, but I think swords should go on strength and agility (possibly int too) and rapiers could go on agility alone. Perhaps wind swords could go on Psyche? More variety like that would be sweet. This way people will chose weapons that are the best fit to their character, instead of being the one with the most base damage. Yay for variety.

Visual distinction between characters is rather lacking and linear at the moment, I hope that changes in the future with more branching out the better the gear gets.

I support this, especially if the song plays whilst using it in combat. Holy balls that'd be awesome...

Oh, and the other stuff.

I sort of want new classes of weapons, but would prefer to keep a low total number of different weapons (with most of the granularity coming from Quality.)

But at the same time...are the existing weapon classes balanced? Heard a lot of comments lately that Bows aren't very useful. And at the same time we have this thread asking for even more weapon classes.

Basically you'll end up somewhere in the extreme between:
  • Few weapon classes, but all of them rock. You choose your weapon based on a desired playstyle, and the devs keep them balanced and interesting with multiple special abilties unique to each class.
  • Many weapon classes, but 80% of them suck. You choose your weapon based on what's powerful -- either that or you do really terrible in combat.

And I suppose you also can have:
  • Many "weapon classes" but they're not really different from one another. Basically Melee and Ranged are your weapon classes, and hammer, axe, and sword are merely slight variations which aren't all that different from one another.
