Development Revisited

Postby Yolan » Fri Jun 07, 2013 11:36 am

So J-Lo are back and adding things to the game.

Maybe now is a good time to simply restate in clear form some of the top things the game community most wants to see added in the near future. Maybe one item per person?

For myself, I most want to see some kind of more powerful village management system. At the very least, if I am LS/Chief I want to be able to right click on the vidol, and see a list of village members and change their permissions/kick them from the village etc.

Witchcraft. We never got it in Salem, maybe in Haven?

No, there is no magic in haven.

Yeah, the better LS/cheif options.

Storage boxes, which hold a base of alot of items, but only 1 type of item. Using construction signs to hold everything gets annoying.

Really? Trolls, Dryads, Rings that boost strength, intelligence, hats that boost charisma, rings that teleport you when you are drowning, your ancestors bodily possesing you and lending you str, etc etc etc learn the game that you are playing before spouting off at your whore mouth.

More simple 1-line fixes/consistency checks, like the dragonfly drying frame fix.

Completed maps as curios. Discovery LP for adding a square to a map.

Particularly:
Nettles not usable as fishing line
(and I'm sure I had more but I've forgot, I ought to jot them down as I think of them)

I would really like it if they removed the timers off things that force you to wake up every X hours, like steel or silkworms. Or at least extend it enough so people with jobs can actually handle it. That's my wish at least.

Why would nettles be used as fishing line?

Counts as "string" for anything else, I don't see why it should be exempt from fishing line usage. Taproot makes about as much sense.

More engravable objects and general object metadata. I want to be able to name my boats and houses. I'd like to be able to see that object x has been around since the start of the world/ was made yesterday. For certain objects for which that makes sense.

Being able to view the quality of built objects as well, like sausage grinders.
