Noob weapons

I propose branches be melee weapons in their own right. Through use their quality would drop, eventually breaking and being discarded. Introduce some basic clubs as well

but how will noobs use these weapons? noobs cannot fight without some skills that need some LPs...
loftar: New hair styles? Really? Seeing how Jorb never gets off his lazy ass to draw some, I almost want to add them to the game proper.

I propose that new characters should come with the "Bash" attack, which would allow sticks, or better yet, crafted clubs to be used. Those who wish to keep using this skill could craft maces/morning stars/ flails as well. Of course, those should require iron.
My reasoning behind the bash skill, is you start of with primitve tools, the club was THE first primitive weapon :P

A noob can walk around nowadays
and find just about anyone that has
a weapon for them, i regularly make
drop offs of weapons for noobs
personally so no point. Stone Axe;
all you need, it chops wood! it chops
animals! it even chops fences down
faster!

Funny, but I actually had that planned since way back. I've even drawn an equipped branch for the dude. Strangely enough no one has wanted to make it a priority, though. :)

If you can find a branch, you can find a stone...and combine them into a Stone Axe.

I figured it would've just been easier to let newbies acquire weapons cheaper...

Edit: Sorry, relapse.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.

Yeah newbies find it hard to get stone axes, branches or other weapons are important because of how hard stone axes are to get.
