FEP system

Postby endit » Mon Nov 02, 2009 7:10 pm

Hi all, i'm playng H&H from 1 month and i like it very much.
My english is bad, so i'm tryin to be clear.

I dont like very much the FEP system, so i have 2 suggestion:

Give to every attribute his own bar, so you can eat thinghs without "waste" of food and without the worry of what to eat;
Image
stomach ache = black food event.
EDIT: the points required to level a stat should be equal to your highest stat.

other suggestion (IMHO better):
growth of attributes should depend on what you do, not what you eat.
example: i have dexterity 25, to reach dex 26 i need 2600 dexterity points; when I craft objects i gain LP and dex points, in the same way when i kill animals i gain LP, strenght points and agility points; when building, i gain LP, str points and constitution points, and so on.
What do you think?

imo it would be better if you combined the two, so that each fep bar was an amount you could potentially gain if you do the proper activities.

Your 2nd suggestion was my initial thought when I started playing too, I have however since become used to the eating for FEP's system and what I do like about it is the fact that it is unique.

I very much like your 1st suggestion though, the one with the graph.

the problem with the first one is that it's too abusable... if it were that way everyone would eat tons of str food with no penalty.

eating the same food again and again can add black food points, so you must vary your diet.

mmm. maybe some negative status? temporary penalties attributes? anyway, the second suggestion i like best.

I agree with this system. However, To avoid people abusing certain foods, wouldn't it be prudent to make FEP of a certain food go to a max of +10 (to increase through hunting/crafting/farming) before sending any FEP gained toward that graph goes to black?

In this manner players would be able to store (potential) in their body?

The current system is a placeholder and there is no urgency in the matter of changing it. The way I see it we need tamable livestock urgently so we can raise, feed, and mate animals, and ultimately improve their quality instead of just getting Q10 milk, hide, meat, and wool.

A system that allows me to gain psyche points without eating shittons of cave bulbs? Me like.
You see a masterful engraving by Blaze. On it is Blaze, bears, boars, and foxes. Blaze is striking down the bears. The boars are screaming. The foxes are in a fetal position. The image relates to the return of Blaze in the late winter of 2009.
