pathetic fishing and roasting fish exp

is there a reason why fishing gives such horrible exp?

fishing takes forever, sometimes it takes like 5 minutes to catch one fish... sometimes its quicker. the exp gained from 60 minutes of fishing is the equalent to 10 minutes of clay pot making. then once you have the fish, you must butcher them all, no exp for this. then you must roast them. roasting appears to give no bonus exp for the quality of the fish, as it only gives 30 exp per fish for me.

i dont understand why the exp for fishing was made so low.

Not only is the LP shit, but fish fillets are terrible survival food (By survival food, I mean food eaten to replenish hunger rather than gain FEPs)

Fish is actually quite filling, to me. I had a nice Lemon Grilled Tilapia for dinner tonight.

FEPs are shit too. I'd rather nom piros and inflate my con bar than try to get my hands on enough fish. 2x woudl give them a reasonable incursion on the market while still retaining their demand in quantity. As it stand the requirements for them are so excessive that it's too stupid to consider the amounts it would take. I could trade for them but there are reasnos not to. Especially for items you can't immediately consume. e.g. Trades of 4+ Chests of fish, which is what would be required to make a reasonable incursion on a midlevel player's FEP bar.

well i definitely agree there. 4 slots in that giant oven is absurd. but why should there be just straight up roasted fish? we could steam fish too. or make fish cakes or something idk.

anyone noticed the tone of many recent threads shifting, making each of their problems out to be some sort of looming crisis? i mean the fish thing isnt great but its not really important enough to warrant the kind of wording used

what is this mass hysteria that has overcome the forum??

It's not important enough but it is a lot easier to fix than the lp and combat system. Fishing is just a waste of time right now.
