Hearth

I'd like an actual stone heart as a furniture object that can be built inside and can house a hearth fire.

It just doesn't look safe to have an open flame on the floorboards like that...

Having a multitude of options would be nice. Specifically, the choice of either an internal firepit or a fireplace, and completely eliminating the option of simply being able to have the fire on the floor. Well, unless arson goes in. :P

Not exactly on topic, but since we're talking fire I'd like to see stoves.

Maybe a fireplace can be like a mini claim. Whoever lights a hearthfire in the fireplace first, owns the house and can set options for it similar to claim options.

Another use could be to hold multiple hearthfires, either for your alts or your friends.

I would like to see hearths set off the side in homes and used for cooking. Autoroasting meats and baking breads. Possibly have them replace the old ovens, but give them an inventory appropriate to the size of the house. (2x2 for smallest) Upgradeable with a cauldron slot and hearthfire slots. Fuel for cooking is like fire pits.

Put windows on home, have them lit at night if hearth or candles are burning.
