So spawning shittons of alts until goods resources are located is a better gameplay?
Look, initial gameplay will go down like this:
Everyone in a village spawns at random and runs around just checking resources. WHen anything decent (80+) is found they all spawn off the alt and start grinding yeomanry/LS and throw down a village. Repeat until all three resources are located at 80+ (or a sufficient alternative). Then people set up shop on the soil or alternatively a new location using alt recruiting (a slightly more efficient method if one controls a village than that outlined in the WV publication of resources thread) to import the first wave of resources. Massive carrot fields and mines come next.
Those with smaller villages or communities will probably go straight to carrots and mines. I'm not even going to attempt to guess atwhat the new world politics are going to look like but they will be interesting to say the least.
If the suggestion or an variation thereof of my proposal is implemented then everyone will go stright to carrots and mines before searching for resources and that search will be far more localized. I would wager that it would increase trade, diplomacy and negotiations but I can't say that for sure. In any case, it would creat localization withhout significantly shafting nubs by allowing even 20/20 to gauge decent quality materials while staving off no-investment alt mapping and resource hunting.
Take note though that one can still spawn alts on leafy forest to macro teapots and the formula of (Per+exp)*2 is a few dozen teapots iirc whereas the bar for entry on just (per+exp) is a few hundred. (e.g 30 exp versus 70)
@ Seizure, I agree that it would detract from individual experience in the accumulation and appraisal of resources but I'm talking about a meta-game issue here. If you have a proposal that addresses both issues please share but I won't deny that I'm failing in creativity here.
