First it would work with more clothes available, and it would introduce a new market.

What? Are you serious? Clothes in real life don't normally decay... or do they?

This is not a good idea.
I mean, everyone has to worry about buildings and containers and whatever decaying, one more thing would just be annoying.

You've never torn or stretched a piece of clothing?
Never made a hole in jeans?
Most things breaks and destroys eventually.

Everything in H&H is speeded up e.g. houses decay in just a few weeks.
And anyway I don't mean decay like that but I guess they do get worn out put and ripped etc..

Maybe your clothes should only get destroyed if you get into battle with a fierce opponent such as a boar, or a bear.

And maybe with players wielding pointy swords and heavy axes.

When I faint I sometimes lose my clothes altogether, but maybe a better effect is to lower the quality instead.

This already happens with leather armour.
So I guess the clothing decay is already in the game.
But just not on everything like linen pants and whatever.
