Castle Building

Uhhh... europe (!) had castles, why can't we?!

Idea:

Make generic castle outline, have options with the flowerbar to add certain things!

Extra storage houses, siege towers, a moat (!), courtyards, turrets, extra levels, etc!!

You honestly think they had anvils, brick walls, smelters, metals, brick ovens and smelters during the neolithic revolution?

smelters are from a few thousand bc, castles are 1000 after

But if the game is set that far back, how come we don't have dinosaurs?

I heard from one guy who has a friend whose cousin played in the First World there were dinosaurs but they went extinct with the reset.
And because of the size they were too easy prey and also they had troubles pathfinding (except for smaller ones like Microraptors).

Damn, I remember the Microraptors. Horrible things. I avoided them whenever I could.

well it cant be from the time of the first farmers and settlements, since we have wrought iron and steel, these were developed much later, around the time castles and forts were being put to use

Answer to your timeline mysteries: It's a game.

Castle building would be cool but feels like it would need a lot of balancing as it would throw balance in the exact opposite direction.

he earliest known production of steel is a piece of ironware excavated from an archaeological site in Anatolia and is about 4,000 years old.[18] Other ancient steel comes from East Africa, dating back to 1400 BC.[19] In the 4th century BC steel weapons like the Falcata were produced in the Iberian Peninsula, while Noric steel was used by the Roman military.[20] The Chinese of the Warring States (403–221 BC) had quench-hardened steel,[21] while Chinese of the Han Dynasty (202 BC – 220 AD) created steel by melting together wrought iron with cast iron, gaining an ultimate product of a carbon-intermediate steel by the 1st century AD.[22][23]

i said we are from the time-period- of early farmers/settlement TO iron age isch

we arent in 1 fixed part but we evolve ourselves between that time, when we gather enough seeds and plant them so we dont rely on hunting anymore and when we start finding mines and all of that needing protection we start building settlements with strong walls and eventualy into large prospering towns with steel coming somewhere at the end.

so we roughtly follow the path of early farmers/settlements to steel. and yes we have a few items that dont fit in there, but this is a game, so what? oh and smelters are not something from the 17th century, crude ones date back far, before the iron age even so the smelters we have now are fine
