Chew Tabacco

Why can we not chew tabacco? It simply does not make sense, tabacco was chewed long before it was smoked, I think tabacco is pretty disgusting myself but the point remains. Perhaps chewing it would give more travel weariness reduction but no Fire & Smoke buff?

Makes sense. The final product of chewed tobacco, all that spit and shit, can be used as a crude bone glue :D

Tobacco is a new world crop. WHen it reached the old world the spanish called it 'drinking smoke' because the concept was foreign to them.

So far as we know, tobacco was first smoked. Before that one can't really say which came first.

Ideally with a 10% chance to fumble and accidetly cut off one of your fingers (= 10% permanent damage to all skills/attributes) for some additional drama.

For even more drama, there should be a 1% chance of becoming addicted whenever somone smokes, and a 0.1% chance of dropping dead.

Would add realism, yes.
Any idea on how to model that effect, so that the player (not only the toon) actually is impacted by it?

and a 0.1% chance of dropping dead.

Yea, but as a stacking long-term effect.
