Randomly Generated Metal Vein Deposits

This isn't a suggestion for replacing Mines but as an addition. (couldn't see anything in search function)

Right now most people who finds or builds a mine will wall it off because it is pretty much valuable and not everyone will get one. Which is the point since metal is suppose to be rare and commodity to any village that managed to secure a mine. But once all the mines have been located, there is no real use for rustroot or people who enjoy seeking mines out. The idea i have is to have randomly generated "Metal Vein Deposits" that spawn infrequently in each SG. These Metal Vein deposits ranges anywhere from 20x20 to 50 x 50minable area. You won't know until you mine. These veins must be located with rustroot and have a "Vein Shaft Door" build.

Veint Shaft Door Cost: x20 Wood Blocks, X10 Wooden Planks, X5 Dreams

Once built a decay timer of 2 hours will start and is unrepairable. This shaft also has its own "Claim" in the sense that noone is allowed to claim it. Teamwork and speed is of the essence as people using rustroot will still be able to hone into the vien's location. Most likly once someone has noticed from a village that a vein is in their rustroot range, the village will pack up a wagon and send out 4 people ( Miner, Hauler, 2 Soliders) to quickly get what they can and get out before others come to mine or fight for the vein.

Unlike normal mines, when mining you will either dig up stone or an ore of the randomly generated vein. For example

Tin Vien : 40% Stone Rock, 60% Tin
Copper: 40/60
Iron: 70/30
Silver: 90/10
Gold: 95/5 <-- 95% stone dug up and 5% metal dug up. Industry slider will affect chances of obtaining ores.

For Craps and Giggles, the Veins in the SG can sometimes be in the caves :) Frequency and spawn times of viens would have to be debated and determined.

Metal other than in mines = no trading. No, really - why do you need trading if everyone has all resources?

There are enough mines in the world that people can always find somebody to trade with. Other than that, this sounds like a good suggestion, even if you wasted time working out disagreeable numbers (I'm tempted to guess you don't have a mine); metal is useful, and thus mines are valuable, so veins should be not only rare but mostly unfruitful, else they'd be more of an alternate option to mines rather than an "addition" as you call it.

Metal is hardly a must-have these days, so I don't see the need to make it more common than it is.

Hey, mate. I have a mine and I still think this is a good idea. It'd be great for the noobs who cannot get metal and are took far/unexperienced to trade with anyone.

Or when the servers are upgraded to support more players and less lags quests that give metal as rewards and such?
