I am loving these idea's they are awesome.
+1 for onion's second idea (liftable canoo's that don't hold anything but you can walk fast with them)

There are also such things as birchbark canoes

Perhaps we could contruct them out of bark + branches

The canoes they are riding on can't carry anything, but still works as a paddling canoe.

This makes a funny boat for multiple players to ride in, especially for a army or something!

I dunno if anyone already posted this, I was too lazy to look. How about, you have put it over a fire. I learned on 'dem survival shows that you burn-hollow them out with fiar.

+1 Would really help if u r travelling across large masses of land or if tons of rivers in your way its an easy cross over. Also very fast decay rate so u have to repair it almost every 10 mins.

It would also be able to fit in wagons so other people can travel across the water (this can solve the log out wagon problem)

You do know to make a Canoe you must Have a Cut down tree than burn the tree in the middle than carve it out with an axe
